Product Care
Treasure and cherish the rare and exquisite treasures we've curated from around the world, and most importantly, show them the affection they deserve.
Wood Care
At TEN2, we take great pride in the meticulous craftsmanship of our distinctive wooden products, many of which are unique or entirely handcrafted. Each item possesses individual characteristics, rendering it truly one-of-a-kind. Slight variations in appearance are to be anticipated, contributing to the inherent beauty of our creations.
While the majority of our timber items have been expertly sealed, it is essential to note that certain woods, such as teak and other hardwoods, may retain porosity, making them susceptible to the absorption of oils, harsh detergents, bleaches, and other liquids if not diligently maintained.
To uphold the impeccable condition of your wooden piece, we recommend utilizing a warm, damp cloth for cleaning and refraining from using chemical-based or abrasive products. Periodic polishing with high-quality beeswax can provide an additional layer of protection and prevent the wood from desiccating.
We advise against placing hot items directly on the surface of your wooden furniture to prevent damage. Natural wood may develop splits and cracks over time, which are not flaws but rather imbue your furniture with character and depth.
Steel Care
We recognize the significance of maintaining your steel furniture to uphold its durability and immaculate appearance. To preserve the optimal condition of your pieces, it is recommended to routinely wipe them with a soft, damp cloth to eliminate any dust or debris.
Refrain from utilizing abrasive cleansers or harsh chemicals, as these substances have the potential to compromise the integrity of the powder coating. In the event of persistent stains, delicately cleanse the affected areas with a mild soap solution and ensure thorough rinsing.
Minimize the risk of scratches by refraining from dragging heavy objects across the surface and contemplate the use of protective pads. By exercising diligent care, your steel furniture will endure, embellishing your surroundings with enduring sophistication.
Leather Care
Caring for your animal skins and furs is essential to maintain their beauty and longevity. We recommend spot cleaning only with a soft, damp cloth and fresh water. Avoid submerging the material in water or using harsh chemicals on genuine cow or Tibetan sheepskin/lambswool hides. After cleaning, allow the items to air dry in the shade. Never place the hides or cushions in direct sunlight, as this can cause the hair or fleece to fade over time.
For dyed sheepskins, please be aware that the color may transfer to very light fabrics. To prevent this, avoid placing dyed sheepskins on light-colored surfaces or fabrics. Proper care ensures that your luxurious items remain in excellent condition, preserving their natural elegance and comfort.
Glass care
While the glass we use in our furniture is designed for strength and durability, it remains delicate and can be easily damaged. For coffee or dining tables, use coasters and placemats to minimize the risk of marks and spills. Avoid placing heavy items on the glass to prevent chipping or breaking.
Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the pristine look of your glass surfaces. Use a mild detergent mixed with warm water and clean the table after each use. After cleaning, buff the surface with a dry cotton cloth to achieve a shiny finish.
For tougher grime from spills left too long, create a cleaning solution with baking soda, white vinegar, and warm water. Spray this mixture on the affected area, let it sit for a few hours, and then wipe it off easily. Following these care tips will keep your glass furniture looking new and elegant.
